About BeadBrush

I've been beading since I was small, starting with lazy-stitch animals, one row at a time. I learned peyote in 2008, then set it down for a long while. When I picked it back up in 2023 I found Miyuki Delicas and peyote stars, and that was what truly unlocked it for me. The evenness of a Delica, the way a flat round folds up into a star. I was hooked in a way I hadn't been before.

Then I went looking for something to design in, and kept bouncing off what I found. Almost every tool I tried had an interface that fought me, or was missing something I genuinely needed. Eventually I stopped looking and started building.

BeadBrush is the app I wanted. It should feel obvious, so you can sit down and start designing right away, and there's a full user guide whenever you want a hand. It should be warm and pleasant to look at, because you're going to spend whole evenings in it. I'd like it to be the first place hobbyist and professional beaders reach for. Past that, honestly: crochet has had a real resurgence these last few years, and beadwork deserves the same. If a better place to design helps someone start, or come back after fifteen years the way I did, that's the point.
